Been meaning to post these team photos! well if you remember back to some other post last year when I went in depth about the Rons CR1 country road bike, I had mentioned that a group of us within our group had commissioned 9 matching frames in Ferrari red with yellow “Nutmeg” downtube decals. We all received these frames last spring, and since then a lively group chat ensued regarding build specs and jersey designs. 1 year later, we digitally stand before you, ready to contest all the uncontested town line sprints of the lower CT river valley.

this is not the first team I have been creative director for, but it has been 20 years since I last had fun like this with us all being so matchy matchy. Some things never change, I still had to fine a few members several Swiss francs for wearing the wrong socks. the above photo is posed in front of our new rider owned coffee shop “Minnow” in down town Chester, the Paris of Nutmeg Country.

I think we all need some matching Dromarti shoes and, well ….. some spray tans. but not a bad gaggle of roadies wouldn’t you say???

it is very satisfying to see the whole team in formation on River rd. We pedaled right past Richard Sach’s house, although im not sure he heard our cat calls. I would say this team is a nod to his old one, as well as the West Hill Shop in Putney Vermont. Those are the two jerseys I always longed for as a teen growing up up around here. I hope we enhance the lore this lower valley has brought to cycling culture over the decades. Long live Team Nutmeg Country Club!
